Our Rules of Conduct are a legally binding part of the contract between Awoostria and the attendee, and must be accepted by the attendee during the online registration process.
Most parts of the venue are designed to be accessible for individuals with mobility impairments. The entrance is free of stairs, and elevators provide access to every floor of the hotel. However, it's important to note that the rooms are not equipped with accessible bathroom facilities, as each room has a bathtub. Additionally, the wellness area is not wheelchair accessible.
Yes, you can bring your dog, but there are some restrictions to keep in mind. Dogs are not permitted in the convention spaces. However, they are allowed in the hotel lobby and hotel rooms. If you plan to bring a dog, please inform the hotel in advance, as an additional cleaning fee will be required.
(Note: Exceptions are made for certified service dogs.)
Service Dogs are allowed to accompany an attendee on all premises. You are obligated to provide a license for your service dog upfront of the convention. This must be cleared by the convention ahead of time in all cases.
The only animals that are allowed to be brought to the hotel are dogs.
Except for liabilities required by Austrian law, Awoostria and its staff are not responsible for any damages done by or to attendees outside the convention premises.
The “Photography and Video” rules as stated within the “Rules of Conduct” are binding to all attendees. Please consult these rules for a full list of dos and don'ts. In short:
Awoostria grants you the right to use videos and photos you have taken at the convention for private and/or non-commercial purposes. Publication in for-profit media requires written permission by the Board of Directors.
Attendees grant Awoostria commercial use rights to photos, films, or recordings made at the convention.
Photography and filming is not allowed in the Art Show, the Fursuit Lounge and other “headless fursuiter” areas.

To become an attendee of the convention, a valid and fully paid registration through the online registration system of Awoostria is required, registrations or ticket purchases through any other means are null and void.
After registering, your registration will need to be manually approved by a staff member, usually within a few hours. Once approved, you will have 14 days to complete the payment for your convention ticket.
Please note that when paying with SEPA/SWIFT, it may take between 5 and 14 days for your payment to be processed and marked as paid. The payment deadline will be paused while your payment is marked as processing.
If you pay with a debit or credit card, your payment will be processed instantly. You will receive your tickets instantly after your payment has been processed.

Every order/registration needs to be manually approved by a staff member. This process may take up to 24 hours, but usually happens within a few hours. If you have not received an update after 24 hours, please contact us at [email protected].
Attendees must be at least 18 years old by the first day of the convention and present a legal photo ID or passport at check-in.
Each registered attendee will be sent an email with payment information as soon as the registration has been accepted. Awoostria accepts credit card payments with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, or wire transfer via SEPA/SWIFT. All of our payments are handled and processed by Stripe.

To support the convention, voluntary sponsorship upgrades to the registration are available at any time. Awoostria offers several levels of sponsorship: “sponsor” and “super sponsor” as well as a non-fixed amount. Sponsors get a differently colored name badge, honorable mentions in the con book, a free T-Shirt, and possible complimentary souvenirs. Super sponsors will be rewarded with additional privileges, such as access to exclusive super sponsor-only events. Sponsors with non-fixed amounts do not receive any compensation.

No, registrations (including sponsor packages) are not refundable, but transferable.
To transfer a registration, both parties are required to send an email to [email protected] and express their mutual desire to transfer the attendance. The transfer is not valid until it has been approved by Awoostria's registration staff in writing.
In all instances, approval ahead of time is necessary for ticket transfers. Individuals not listed in our database will not be granted entry under another person's name if they show up at the convention.

The hotel can provide an extra bed in certain rooms, but availability is limited. If you're interested in this option, please contact the hotel using the email address we'll provide after you've registered.
Payment for your room is due upon arrival at the hotel.

No. Costumes, accessories, or items made from real fur are not allowed.
To prevent damage to costumes and venue property, body paint requires individual permission to be obtained at the Security Office. Face makeup does not require permission, but please be careful!
Overly revealing, inappropriate, or fetish-related clothing and accessories are not allowed in public areas.
When in convention exclusive areas, attendees may not wear clothing or costumes which are visibly “anatomically correct” or indecently revealing the wearers own private anatomy.

Awoostria aims to be a professional, friendly, respectful, and open-minded furry convention. The primary purpose is for everyone to have fun in a comfortable atmosphere, adhering to the Rules of Conduct.
Any action or behavior that causes significant interference with convention operations, excessive discomfort to other attendees, or adversely affects Awoostria’s relationship with its guests, its venues or the public is strictly forbidden and may result in permanent suspension of attendance. This general rule supersedes all others listed below and may be invoked at any time.

Yes, admission can be refused based on previous payment history, behavior, or any other cause for concern that the presence of any individual may interfere with convention operations, cause excessive discomfort to staff or other attendees, or adversely affect Awoostria's relationship with its attendees, its venues, or the public.
The convention management also reserves the right to deny or revoke attendance at any time for any reason, without a refund if due to failure to follow our Rules of Conduct.
The Awoostria Security Team, identifiable on-site, enforces these rules. Any issues with staff actions can be addressed at the Security Office or with the Board of Directors.
Attendees should treat each other respectfully, are liable for any damages caused, must follow staff instructions, and harassment of any kind is not tolerated.
Badges must always be displayed in exclusive areas, must not be altered or shared, and must be presented to staff upon request. Fursuiters need to carry their badge, but don't have to wear it openly.
No. Knowingly aiding and abetting, or otherwise enabling an individual who does not have a valid attendance badge for the Awoostria convention to enter convention exclusive areas will result in permanent revocation of Awoostria attendance privileges for all parties involved.
Attendees may also not enter hotel service areas, including backstage, service elevators, rooftops, emergency exits, and areas marked “Staff Only”.
Yes, nothing should be hung, thrown, flown, or dropped from the hotel's balconies or patios.
Handheld glowsticks are allowed. Glowsticks on strings or poles need clearance from Awoostria Security Service.
No, please do not sleep in convention areas. Use your hotel room or return home.
Yes, but they must not disturb others.
No. Even though this con is 18+, displaying adult materials (such as signs, flyers, business cards, badges, stickers, posters, and drawings) is not permitted in public areas of the hotel.
Sales are restricted to authorized areas only. The sale of any kind of goods and services outside the authorized parts of the convention exclusive areas requires explicit permission by the Awoostria Board of Directors.
Frequently asked questions about our rules regarding smoking, alcohol and substances.
Smoking is not permitted inside the hotel area. This includes vaping. Smokers are asked to use designated smoking areas, to properly dispose of cigarette butts, and to comply with any other venue rules.
You are expected to drink responsibly. You will be held accountable for what you do, under the influence or not. Individuals who are intoxicated to the point of incapacitation will be removed from the event area and may consequentially be expelled from the convention.
Any individual found to be in possession of or distributing illegal or controlled substances will be expelled from the convention and reported to the local authorities.
The use of “legal highs” or the abuse of substances like glue, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), alkyl nitrites (poppers) and others is strictly prohibited.

You may not carry any weapons anywhere on the premises of the hotel at any time. In this context, any object which is, according to its nature, suitable for inflicting injuries to individuals or animals or to do damage to property will be considered a weapon. This includes items which are legal according to Austrian weapon laws like i.e., Kubotans, pepper / cs spray, alarm guns (even with permit) and any other object deemed too dangerous by Awoostria Security.
Yes, all weapon look-alikes, LARP props, replicas, tools, and weapon-like toys must be checked and approved in the Security Office immediately after your registration on site.
Awoostria Security Service may require your weapon to be peace-bond. Tampering with the peace bonding will invalidate the clearance immediately.
No. Water pistols, silly string, or any thrown, flown, or projectile item (i.e., NERF guns) may not be used in any area of the hotel.
No. Mock fights, swordplay, fire breathing, or similarly dangerous activities are not allowed. Exceptions for staged events may be granted by Awoostria Security. Please inquire ahead of time, preferably before the convention.

Harassment of any kind, including physical assault, battery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome physical attention, will not be tolerated.
Speech in any form that promotes or encourages discrimination, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, or nationality is strictly prohibited.

Awoostria reserves all rights to video and photo material gathered at the hotel. Awoostria grants you the right to use videos and photos you have taken at the convention for private and/or non-commercial purposes.

Official Awoostria camera teams (identified by a "Awoostria Media" badge) may record video and take photos in all areas of the convention and during events to be used for publication. You agree that videos and pictures taken of you can be used in such publications without release or compensation. A release will only be required for material filmed in situations where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists.
