As Art Director & Storyboard artist you are responsible for translating the story from the writers room onto the big screen. You will take the dialogue and descriptions from the writing team, translate those into a storyboard, and organise the artist team to flesh out the visuals and create the final product.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely with the writing team, voice actors and musicians to understand what sort of visuals will be needed.
Iteratively form these visuals into a storyboard and coordinate them with other stakeholders in the story department.
Coordinate the character & background artists to “bring the storyboard to life”, and ensure a consistent style/avoid style “clashes”.
Qualifications and Profile:
Artistic skills, especially in terms of composition for the purpose of storyboarding
Organisational skills, willingness to work together with a diverse creative team
Leadership skills, ability to coordinate a team of artists and support them in their tasks
Previous experience in similar tasks is not strictly required but a plus!
Time Commitment:
We expect the time required for this role to be a few hours every week usually starting ~8 months before the time of the convention. Time requirements will ramp up closer to the convention. A plus is that the tasks will be finished before the start of the convention, so you can enjoy the convention itself fully as free time!
